Conversion kit designed to fit inside the adapter box for Kajaksport System 4. This is the second-generation design, meaning it sits flush with the height of the adapter box.
This is a spare part/conversion kit for paddlers using Kajaksport System 4 (skeg system). It’s the latest low-profile version of the control knob and sits lower than the original first-generation design. If you already have an adapter box installed, you can use this kit to convert your skeg control over to the newer style.
Because this generation doesn’t protrude above the adapter box, there’s less chance of catching it with your elbow while paddling, or snagging it when storing the kayak on a rack. The knob is spring-loaded and self-locking, which means you press it down before making an adjustment.
Screws for mounting into the adapter box are included.
Note: When you buy a new system or a new skeg control unit, this design is now supplied as standard.
