Touring kayak paddles for sea kayaking, day trips and longer tours. Your kayak paddle is the piece of gear you hold for every single stroke, so the right length and a lighter weight make a real difference by the end of a long day. Our range runs from durable aluminium paddles for new paddlers and family use to light carbon paddles for those who paddle often and far, from Greentip, Outlife, Vento and our own Paddlespot paddles.
Three things decide the choice. Length: most touring paddlers use somewhere between 210 and 230 cm, with a wider kayak or a taller paddler at the longer end. Blade: a medium blade suits a relaxed, low-angle touring stroke, while a larger blade suits a more powerful, high-angle style. Material: carbon is the lightest and stiffest, while aluminium and nylon are more forgiving of knocks and kinder to the budget.
Many two-piece paddles have an adjustable centre joint, so you can fine-tune both length and feather angle. Four-piece paddles pack down small for inflatable and folding kayaks, or to carry as a spare on deck. Prefer a traditional, narrow blade? See our Greenland paddles. Training or racing?
