The Astral V-Eight pairs Astral’s patented AireScape technology with an ergonomic cut and large mesh panels across the back. Instead of trapping warmth against your body, heat can move out through the mesh — a real benefit on longer days in the cockpit.
The back foam sits higher up, which also makes it a good match for kayaks with a backrest: you get support where you need it without the PFD fighting the seat. Together with its comfortable fit, that’s why it’s become a trusted choice for touring paddlers.
Fit adjustment is simple at the shoulders and sides, so you can dial it in over anything from a thin summer top to a thicker layer. There’s also a dedicated point for attaching a knife, plus two pockets for small essentials.
