Getting to your packed gear from the cockpit is often awkward, and it usually ends with extra clothing and small items piled around your knees. The NRS Taj M'Haul Deck Bag gives you a dedicated, secure place on deck for the things you want close at hand on day trips and longer touring paddles.

The main compartment is fully waterproof and closes with a HydroLock™ waterproof zip. That means you can stash an insulating layer, gloves, electronics or other gear you want to keep properly dry, whatever the forecast is doing.

On the outside, you’ll find mesh pockets and adjustable elastic deck bungees for kit you want quickly, but that doesn’t mind a bit of spray. It’s a practical spot for a water bottle, an (uninflated) paddle float, sunscreen, or a handheld VHF.

One side of the bag has a sleeve pocket that’s open at both ends — designed as a tidy home for your bilge pump. An elastic cord loop at one end lets you secure the pump to the bag so it stays put when the water gets lively.

Mounting is straightforward: the bag attaches to your kayak’s deck lines using the hook-and-loop straps on the underside, along with the hooks positioned at each corner.
