SmartTrack THS Cable Lock Kit

Cable lock suitable for cables with a diameter of 1-2 mm.

A complete kit for attaching a rudder cable to one of SmartTrack's rudder heads. The cable lock is tightened with pliers to secure the cable. If you want to remove the rudder for longer transport, you can easily do so by loosening the locking ring.

THS can also be used if you have rudder lines instead of a cable. The rudder line is then tied in place instead of being clamped in place with the cable lock. The advantage of threading the rudder line through the THS instead of attaching it directly to the rudder is that the THS rotates, preventing the line from rubbing against the rudder's attachment point.

• SmartTrack Shrink Tube (item number ST43-811)

THS rudder cable locks are supplied in pairs.

Installation Instructions

To install, start by threading the cable through the shrink tube, then through the aluminum cable lock, continuing around the cable attachment and through its loop.

Place the THS rudder cable lock above the attachment for the rudder line, insert the locking pin “Clevis Pin”, and secure the locking pin ST44-519 with the locking ring ST44-520. Thread the cable through the cable lock again.

Now tighten the cables to the desired position, clamp the cable lock with pliers to secure the cable. Cut off the excess cable and slide the shrink tube over the end of the cable. Heat the shrink tube with a hairdryer or carefully with a lighter.

The THS rudder cable lock is compatible with SmartTrack's rudder heads: Original, Flow, Compact, Race, Ski, and Ski-B.
