If you keep a larger boat, this is a practical way to explore places the boat can’t reach. Inflate it when you want it, then slip into sheltered coves, narrow channels, and quiet stretches of water.

As inflatables go, the AdvancedFrame 1 feels remarkably “kayak-like” on the water. At 16 kg it’s manageable both inflated and packed, and the compact length makes it easy to turn and place where you want it.

The AdvancedFrame 1 is built to feel reassuring under you. Multiple air chambers (7 in total) add stability and buoyancy, so the kayak stays composed when you shift position or when the water gets a bit lively. It’s a welcoming platform whether you’re coming back to paddling after a break or heading out for your first proper trips.

Despite the generous width, it still moves along nicely and doesn’t feel heavy on the paddle. The adjustable, padded seat with a higher backrest supports you well on both short outings and longer days — and the stability makes it a good choice if you like to take photos or fish from the cockpit.

Paddlespot Tip: Use a pump with a pressure gauge and aim for the recommended pressure (2 psi). A firm hull trims better and tracks more cleanly — especially on longer crossings.

Like the rest of the AdvancedFrame range, the AdvancedFrame 1 is built with durability in mind. The bow and stern are shaped and stiffened with aluminium ribs for improved tracking. The floor is made from heavy-duty reinforced PVC and fitted with a rear skeg to further support straight-line paddling. The main chambers inflate to 2 psi and sit protected behind outer layers, giving you a robust setup for confident paddling.

The deck opens with a zip, making entry and exit simpler. There’s useful space for a day’s kit both behind the seat and in front of your feet, and the deck lines and D-rings give you options to secure extra gear if you need it.

This is a well-established inflatable kayak design, built to handle repeated set-up and pack-down over many seasons. With normal care, it’s the kind of boat you can keep paddling for years.
