Description
A two-piece Greenland paddle made from Western Red Cedar. Black epoxy tips on the blades make it extra durable.
This model is based on a traditional paddle from western Greenland. The paddle features an oval cross-section and marked shoulders at the transition between the shaft and the paddle blades. The oval shape of the blades makes them slightly quieter when paddling compared to the diamond-shaped model from eastern Greenland. The marked shoulders facilitate hand placement.
The paddle joint is of the highest quality and is manufactured by Finnish Kajaksport. It allows for easier transport and storage.
NANOOK is made from Western Red Cedar (Thuja plicata), a lightweight and beautiful type of wood. The shafts have pine inserts to make them stiffer. The paddles are treated with oil to protect the wood and provide a pleasant and grip-friendly surface to hold.
Paddling with a Greenland paddle is gentle on the muscles and joints. The long, narrow blade glides easily and quietly through the water and is also not sensitive to wind.
