Made from supple, breathable 2.5-layer fabric, the Chinook is easy to stow in a hatch or day bag and quick to pull on when the weather turns. That balance of packability and real on-water protection makes it a solid choice for everything from windy day trips to more exposed crossings.
The hood is there when you want it on blustery days, and removes easily when you don’t. At the neck you get an adjustable ExoSkin inner cuff for a close seal, while the fleece-lined collar stays comfortable against the skin. In warmer conditions, the diagonal front zip lets you open the collar up for airflow.
Latex wrist seals help keep you properly dry when waves wash over the deck or water runs down the paddle shaft. Outer cuffs sit over the latex and adjust with Velcro for a neater fit and a touch of extra warmth.
A spraydeck tunnel at the waist, used together with a cockpit spraydeck, helps stop water getting into the cockpit even when conditions pick up. On the front there are two pockets with water-resistant YKK AquaGuard zips, and reflective details to make you easier to spot in low light.
