The Palm Quick Tow Belt is a waist-worn tow system with an integrated towline. It’s set up and ready to go straight away, with no fiddling or preparation. For anyone paddling in a group, it’s a solid piece of safety kit to have on hand when someone starts running low on energy or needs a hand getting home.
The belt itself is padded for comfort and fitted with a quick-release buckle. That safety feature lets you detach the belt from your body instantly if the tow needs to be abandoned.
The towline is a floating rope, 10 m long and 5 mm in diameter. Its bright yellow colour stays easy to spot on the water and helps you keep track of the line while towing. A short elasticated section connects the belt to the towline to smooth out the snatch loads you get from waves. At the end of the line you’ll find a robust plastic hook, designed to clip onto the kayak you’re towing.
