Fine-adjustment screw (barrel lock adjuster) for rudder lines.

A barrel lock adjuster lets you fine-tune the length of your rudder line. Fit it between two line ends and you can bring the system up to the right tension simply by turning the adjuster. It can also be used inside the cockpit as a link between a rudder line and a cable.

Typical uses for a barrel lock adjuster:

• Centre the rudder so it sits straight by adjusting one side or the other.
• Bring the toe pedals closer by tightening both adjusters, so the paddler can set pedal position to suit their leg length and comfort.
• Create an adjustable link between an under-stern rudder and a trailing rudder (for example on surfskis), where the lines need to be fully tensioned for solid response.

The adjuster provides 3 cm of adjustment range.
