The suit consists of 3 mm thick neoprene over the torso and 2 mm thick neoprene over arms and legs. This type of neoprene thickness is the most common type and is usually seen as standard for neoprene suits. The reason why you have different thicknesses in different parts of the suit is that the thinner neoprene allows for a higher degree of mobility while the thicker neoprene gives you additional warmth in the body parts that you need.
The zipper on the back is from the quality manufacturer YKK, a guarantee for high quality. Over chest and back a neoprene with a glossy outer surface has been chosen to minimize the cooling effect of the wind on cold and windy days.
