Description
A traditional wooden Greenland paddle for touring and rolling — a simple, proven shape that takes you back to the roots of kayaking.
This model is based on a classic East Greenland paddle. It has a diamond-shaped cross-section and no shoulders between the loom and the blades. The tips are reinforced with epoxy and glow in the dark.
The diamond profile naturally guides the paddle into a clean edge, which helps you place the blade correctly in the water. The smooth transition between loom and blade also makes it easier to slide your hands along the paddle when rolling.
ISIGAA is made from Western Red Cedar (Thuja plicata) — a light, lively timber with a beautiful grain. Pine inlays in the loom add stiffness where it matters. The paddle is finished with Chinese tung oil to protect the wood and give a comfortable, secure grip.
Paddling with a Greenland paddle is kind to muscles and joints. The long, slim blade moves quietly through the water and is less affected by wind than broader blades.
