Built in a supple, breathable 2.5-layer fabric, the Chinook is easy to move in and easy to stow. That combination of packability and proper weather protection makes it a dependable jacket for everything from calm touring days to more exposed conditions.
The hood adds welcome cover when the wind picks up, and can be removed when you’d rather keep things simple. At the neck you get an adjustable ExoSkin gasket for a close, comfortable seal. The collar is fleece-lined, and a diagonal zip lets you open it up when you’re working hard or the temperature climbs.
Latex wrist gaskets keep you properly dry when waves wash over the deck or water runs down the paddle shaft. Outer cuffs sit over the latex and adjust with Velcro for a snug fit and a touch of extra warmth.
A waist tunnel, used together with a spraydeck, helps prevent water getting into the cockpit even when conditions turn rough. On the front are two pockets with waterproof YKK AquaGuard zips, and reflective details help you stay visible in low light.
