Description
A medium-sized aluminum rudder head.
The rudder shaft is equipped with a bayonet closure that ensures a secure hold. Thanks to the strength and stability of the rudder head, the maximum power of the rudder is maintained even in strong crosswinds.
The rudder head can be combined with two different rudder blade sizes, with SmartTrack Tandem (Item No. ST931) being standard for sea kayaks.
The rudder head is supplied with SmartTrack cable lock CRW (Item No. ST940) and rudder fold set (Item No. ST-K900).
Specifications
- The distance from the center of the sleeve to the stern mirror must not exceed 31.5 mm
- The rudder head protrudes 94 mm from its mounting point.
Installation Instructions
Here is a video on how to mount rudder blades onto the rudder heads of SmartTrack. The film shows the rudder head "Original", which is mounted the same way as with the "Compact":
If you have a kayak with a low stern, you may want one of the SmartTrack rudder heads called "Race" or "Ski". If you want the rudder to dip deeper into the water, look at "Flow" or "Original", depending on how far you want the rudder to protrude into the water.
