Easy to adjust and affordable plastic footrests for kayaks without rudders.
SmartTrack is one of the most popular footrests on the market, largely due to its ease of adjusting the leg length to the pedals. It can be smoothly adjusted by both the paddler while sitting in the kayak and by an instructor standing beside.
Installation
There are two ways to install pedal tracks in kayaks:
- If the kayak has permanently laminated mounting screws with corresponding nuts, you can use these. If you are building a kayak and need to laminate your own mounts, we recommend a mounting bolt from Kajaksport (item number KS501117,1).
- If there are no permanently laminated mounting bolts in the kayak, you can use through screws through the hull. Install with 4 through screws (item number ST44-528), 4 nuts (item number ST44-531), and 4 seals (item number ST43-802).
If you want to bring the pedal track closer to the center, spacer blocks (item number ST20-438) can be used during installation.
Can be converted to rudder pedals
The SmartTrack Footrest Recreational can easily be converted to rudder pedals if needed. For this, you will need one "SmartTrack Male to Fine Adjustment Screw" (item number ST20-459) per pedal, two "SmartTrack Spring for Toe Pedal, New Model" (item number ST44-541) per pedal, as well as one "SmartTrack Right Toe Pedal" (item number ST20-478) and one "SmartTrack Left Toe Pedal" (item number ST20-477).
