Lightly adjustable and affordable plastic footrests for kayaks without oars.
SmartTrack is one of the most popular footrests on the market, not least because it is so easy to adjust the pedals to leg lengths. This can be done easily by the paddler himself when sitting in the kayak, or by a guide standing next to him.
Mounting
There are two ways to mount pedal rails in kayaks:
- If there are laminating fixing bolts with corresponding nuts in the kayak, you can use them. If you are building a kayak and want to laminate your own holders, we recommend a fixing bolt from Kajaksport (item number KS501117.1).
- If there are no firmly laminated fixing bolts in the kayak, you can use screws that go through the hull. Mount with 4 through bolts (item number ST44-528), 4 nuts (item number ST44-531) and 4 gaskets (item number ST43-802).
If the pedal rail is desired more in the middle, distance blocks (item number ST20-438) can be mounted between the hull and the height compensating plates.
Can be converted to a steering system
The SmartTrack Footrest Recreational can easily be converted into a steering system if desired. For this you need one “SmartTrack Connector for Fine Tuning Screws” (item number ST20-459) per pedal, two “SmartTrack Springs for Foot Pedals, New Model” (item number ST44-541) per pedal, one “SmartTrack Right Foot Pedal” (item number ST20-478) and one “SmartTrack Left Foot Pedal” (item number ST20-477).
