Description
The SmartTrack Original rudder head is a proven, hard-wearing aluminium housing that’s fitted as standard on a wide range of kayak brands.
The rudder is easy to lift clear of the water, and if you happen to run over a rock it will flex and return to position as soon as you’re past the obstacle. The rudder pin uses a bayonet fitting, so you can trust the rudder stays properly seated. Thanks to the housing’s strength and stability, you keep as much rudder authority as possible even when the kayak is being pushed sideways by wind and waves.
The rudder head can be combined with two different rudder blade sizes. The SmartTrack Tandem blade (article number ST931) is the standard choice for sea kayaks.
The rudder head is supplied with the CRW cable wedge lock kit (article number ST940) as well as a rudder lift kit (article number ST6105).
Specifications
- The distance from the centre of the sleeve to the stern/transom must be at least 32 mm.
- The rudder head extends 119 mm down from its mounting point.
