Description
SmartTrack Racing Blade Housing/Rudder Head is a smaller, very robust and popular aluminum rudder head found on a range of low stern kayaks.
Thanks to the strength and stability of the rudder head, maximum rudder power is maintained even in strong crosswinds. Excellent rowing stroke and easy to fold up. When you paddle over a rock or the like, the rudder will easily bounce back. The rudder shaft is equipped with a bayonet closure, so you can always count on the rudder staying in place.
The rudder head comes with the CRW Cable Lock Kit (ST940) and the ST-K900 Rudder Fold Set.
The rudder head can be combined with two different blade sizes, with Tandem (ST931) being the standard for sea kayaks.
Specifications
- The distance from the center of the housing to the stern mirror must not exceed 40 mm.
- The rudder head protrudes 58 mm from its mounting point.

If you have a kayak with a lower seating position, you may want to consider a SmartTrack Ski or Ski-B rudder head. If you want the rudder to dive deeper into the water, look at Compact, Flow or Original, depending on how far you want the rudder to protrude into the water.
