SmartTrack THS Cable Lock Kit

Cable lock that can be used for cables with a diameter of 1–2 mm.

A complete kit that allows you to secure a steering cable to one of SmartTrack's rudder heads. The cable lock is clamped with a pliers to secure the cable. For example, if you want to take off the side rudder for a longer transport, you can easily do so by loosening the securing ring.

THS can also be used if you have steering lines instead of cables. The steering line will then be tied instead of clamped with the cable lock. The advantage of pulling the steering line through the THS instead of attaching it directly to the rudder is that the THS will rotate and thus no abrasion will be caused by the line to the rudder attachment.

THS rudder cable locks are supplied in pairs.

Installation Instructions

When installing, first thread the cable through the shrink tube, then through the aluminum cable locks, further around the cable attachment and through its eyelet.

Place the THS rudder cable lock over the steering line attachment, install the securing pin “Clevis Pin”, secure the securing pin ST44-519 with the securing ring ST44-520. Thread the cable through the cable lock again.

Now pull the cable tight at the desired position, clamp the cable lock with pliers to lock the cable. Clamp the cables together and thread the shrink tube over the end of the cable. Heat the shrink tube with a hairdryer or carefully
