Description
Easy-adjust footrests for kayaks without a rudder, with an aluminium rail.
The SmartTrack Transitional Footrest is a solid, practical setup when you want quick leg-length adjustment at the footrest. You can fine-tune your position while seated, and it’s also a smooth solution when several paddlers share the same kayak and need different settings.
The Transitional footrest uses an aluminium rail for long-term durability, and the pedal slides with very low friction when you adjust it.
Fitting notes.
There are two common ways pedal rails are mounted in kayaks.
Either you use 4 through-bolts (ST44-528), 4 nuts (ST44-531) and 4 sealing rings (ST43-802) — two of each per rail.
Or the kayak has bonded-in mounting studs with matching nuts.
If you’re building a kayak and laminating your own mounts, KS501117 from Kajaksport is recommended.
If you want to position the pedal rail closer to the centreline, you can use the spacer blocks ST20-438.
The Transitional footrests can also be converted to rudder pedals.
To do that you’ll need 1 adjustment screw ST20-459 per pedal, 2 pedal springs ST44-541 per pedal, and one toe pedal: ST20-478 for the right side and ST20-477 for the left.
