SmartTrack is one of the most popular footrests on the market, largely due to its ease of adjusting the leg length to the pedals, even while sitting in the kayak and wanting to change your seating position, or if multiple people are taking turns paddling the same kayak and want to adjust the settings smoothly.
SmartTrack's Transitional footrests feature an aluminum rail that is highly durable and provides very low friction when adjusting the pedal.
Installation description.
There are two types of mounting for pedal rails in kayaks.
Either you have through screws (4 pcs, ST44-528), 4 nuts (ST44-531), and 4 sealing rings (ST43-802), 2 of each per pedal rail.
Or there are fixed laminated mounting screws in the kayak with corresponding nuts.
If you are building a kayak and need to laminate your own mounts, we recommend KS501117 from Kajaksport.
If you want to bring the pedal rail closer to the center, spacer blocks ST20-438 can be used.
The Transitional pedal support can easily be converted to rudder pedals.
For this, you will need 1 fine adjustment screw ST20-459 per pedal, two pedal springs ST44-541 per pedal, and a toe pedal, ST20-478 for the right and ST20-477 for the left.
