Description
A compact carbon wing paddle that gives a clear, confident catch and efficient drive.
The Rey is relatively small in the water, but the subtly cupped tip helps the blade “lock” cleanly as you plant it. That gives you a distinct catch without feeling grabby, and makes it easy to draw the blade through the water.
The blade has a closed shape, so it stays closer to the kayak for longer through the power phase. The result is a straight, effective forward stroke with good pressure where you want it.
The shaft has a bit of flex to help reduce strain on wrists and shoulders over longer sessions. The continuous length adjustment spans 15 cm, so you can use the same paddle in a narrow kayak as well as a wider one.
The Rey shape has been a long-time favourite with both men and women. Paddlers who choose the Rey tend to appreciate that direct bite at the catch.
It suits both racing and touring paddlers who want a little extra grip in the water and solid pressure through the stroke.
Paddlespot Tip: Use the length adjustment to fine-tune your stroke to the day—shorter for higher cadence and wind, a touch longer for relaxed cruising or a wider beam.
Supplied in a padded storage bag. Value 299:-
