Description

SmartTrack Ski-B rudder head is a compact, lightweight and robust aluminium housing, commonly fitted to many kayaks and surfskis with a very low stern.

Thanks to the housing’s stiffness and stability, you keep as much of the rudder’s steering effect as possible even when wind and chop start pushing the boat around.

The rudder head sits just 5 mm below its mounting point, helping to reduce the risk of the housing dragging in the water and slowing you down.

It can be paired with two different blade sizes. The Single ST930 is the most common choice for fitness kayaks and surfskis. The Tandem (ST931) is a standard option for sea kayaks, or for surfski/fitness paddling in rougher water when you want maximum rudder authority.

It offers good rudder travel, springs up easily if you hit an obstruction, and is also easy to flip up if you want that function.

Supplied with the CRW cable-lock kit (ST940) and the rudder flip-up kit ST-K900.

The rudder pin uses a bayonet fitting to help prevent the rudder from coming off by itself.
