The Storm3 uses 3 mm neoprene over the torso for extra warmth, with 2 mm neoprene in the rest of the suit to keep flexibility high where you need it most. That balance is a classic wetsuit setup: thicker where you lose heat fastest, thinner where you paddle, twist, and climb back on deck.
A quality YKK back zip keeps entry and exit straightforward. Across the chest and back, the neoprene has a smoother outer finish to help reduce wind chill on cooler, breezy days.
Paddlespot Tip: If you tend to get cold when stopping for breaks, add a thin windproof paddle jacket over your shorty — it makes a noticeable difference in wind.
